Webinar Title “Learn about International Youth Exchange: U.S. Department of State Hosting and Scholarship Opportunities”

Webinar’s Intent:
Did you know the U.S. Department of State provides full scholarships to international and American high school students to study abroad?
Each year, the State Department awards competitive, merit-based scholarships to approximately 2,000 of the most promising international students from over 50 countries study in U.S. high schools, live with volunteer host families, and engage in extracurricular, leadership and community service activities., At the same time, approximately 1,000 American high school students receive full scholarships to study overseas each year.

Discover how 4-H families and clubs in your state can support U.S. Public Diplomacy efforts and foreign policy goals by welcoming an international student into their homes and educating American youth about study abroad scholarship opportunities.

This is an opportunity to learn how 4-H clubs and families can internationalize their communities, bring current events to life, and develop future leaders with global competencies who will foster mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
This webinar will primarily focus on opportunities for hosting international exchange students.
