Imagine a place where kids can gather without the distractions of today’s hectic world.  A place where they feel connected and accepted by others, have the confidence to take on new challenges and try new things and where they have the opportunity to interact and make friends with people who are different from them.  This place is called camp!  4-H Campers have the opportunity to participate in daily workshops, nightly events including talent shows, campfires, scavenger hunts and the usual camp activities such as games, swimming, and canoeing. The mission of camp is to help each individual camper gain skills that help them achieve a strong self-concept, self-responsibility, and an ability to get along with peers.

Northwinds 4-H Camp registration is now open and enrolling campers for the 2013 summer session June 11-14.  4-H Camp is held at Camp Penuel in Eldred, PA.  4-H camp is open to all youth ages 8 to 13.  You do not need to be enrolled in 4-H to participate in camp.  For more information or a registration packet, please call 814-274-8540.  Cost is $90 for four full days.  Registration deadline is May 8.  Penn State is committed to affirmative action, equal opportunity and the diversity of its workforce.
